What is a Judgment
|
You ask this question and many do ask this question. A judgment is a court ordered law that is granted to a plaintiff so they can collect a debit. The judgment is normally reported to all three credit bureaus which will give you a very bad credit rating. This judgment will also keep you from buying a home, property, and other assets. Most people know that nowadays you can have just about anything removed from your credit file if you dispute this information. Under federal law when you dispute something on your credit file the other party has 30 days to verify this information. Often the other party can not respond in 30 days so the record is removed from the credit file. Many think this judgment is gone forever. This is not true.
